“It is a truth universally acknowledged that a pretty girl in possession of good style, must be in want of a good pair of jeans.” As you can notice, I’ve studied way too much in this past weeks and I need to keep up with all the work on my schedule, including the blog. My head is full of Math and Literature already but I’m sure there’s still room for the blog.

Anyways, Sweden can officially say goodbye to summer now and it’s time to pack all sundresses and bring out the warm sweaters we all like. For this process, I looked through all the denim in the hidden drawers in my room and picked my favourite ones. Here’s a list of all brands I personally love and which I believe everyone should take a look at.

MADEWELL

“MADEWELL IS FOR
DENIM LOVERS—OR BASICALLY ANYONE
WHO APPRECIATES TIMELESS
DESIGNS THAT PUT YOU AT EASE.”

– Joyce Lee, head designer

I first found this brand when I was in Chicago last Christmas. That day I had been looking for an ordinary pair of jeans non-stop, going through every single possible store in the city. I step into Levi’s, finally thinking the denim hunting would have ended, and step out after half an hour more disappointed that before. While Levi’s is perfect for lots of people, I have to say it’s not for me since I don’t have a model-like body and my height doesn’t reach 1.70cm. I’m sure there’s nothing wrong with it, but apparently, all pairs of denim at Levi’s store were for models like Kendall Jenner exclusively.

Anyways, this story is only to say that at the end of the day I finally came across Madewell and soon found out that it isn’t just one of the best brands for denim I know, but also that it’s environment-friendly.
