Le Grand Appartement Sézane et Octobre
I already knew about Sézane before going to Paris, as I have spent so much time scrolling through all their products on their website. If you have never heard of this name, Sézane is a French fashion brand which has gained huge popularity and has a few locations in different countries. In particular, the store in Paris is called “the apartment” and features a wide range of clothes, shoes and jewelery which is worth checking out. Ever since I found out about “Sézane the Apartment” on social media, I have wanted to go and see in person what the hype was all about. The store is actually located nearby the Airbnb my friends and I stayed at, and was not too hard to find. Although I already expected the products to be high quality, seeing them in real life instead of on a website proved that every single item is really well made and unique.
What I liked the most:
- The unique design of the store
- Their sweater collection!
- The kindness of the staff (not to be mean but they stood out from all their fellow Parisians)
- The location was great, as it wasn’t on a very busy street but still easy to reach
Things to consider:
- Since Sézane is a French brand, I found that clothes run a little small, especially jeans and pants (so size up if unsure!)
- Sézane is definitely in the medium/high price range so unfortunately it is not easy to buy everything you want…

Le Samaritaine
Everyone knows about La Galerie de la Fayette but not about Le Samaritaine. The concept is pretty much the same, as they are both retailers of high-end fashion brands. However, I believe the latter is not as chaotic as La Fayette. The store is easily accessible as it is located in a very busy area and hosts brands like Chanel, YSL, as well as non-designer brands such as Acne Studios and Sandro.
What I liked the most:
- The design of the store is beautiful and really elegant.
- The variety of brands sold.
Things to consider:
- Although it is, in my opinion, better structured and less chaotic than la Galerie de la Fayette, it is still a busy place.
- There might be a lot of tourists.

Hotel Costes
This hotel is one of the most expensive in the city. However, you don’t need to book a room to see what it looks like inside. My friend and I just went for lunch on the outdoor patio and it was so pretty. But honestly, l recommend doing so for any of the nice hotels in Paris, as probably none of them will disappoint.
What I liked the most:
- The location: it is really easy to reach
- It was not too busy
- The outdoor patio is really pretty
Things to consider:
- I don’t know why, but the fact that the servers were not wearing a uniform bothered me. They still all had impeccable outfits though!
- No matter if you go there for drinks or food, the bill will be expensive
Liao Et Filles
This jewelery store immediately caught my eye on the streets of Paris. The store features so many handmade earrings, rings, and necklaces. The style is overall rather simple, as most pieces are elegant and with timeless designs.
What I liked the most:
- The variety of products
- All the jewelery is handmade
Things to consider:
- The wide range of products can be overwhelming and it could be difficult to pick only one thing!

Paris Atelier des Lumières
Instead of going to the more traditional museums in Paris, like the Louvre or Musée d’Orsay, my friend and I decided to go to the Atelier des Lumières. Although other museums tend to be very crowded during the summer, this one was much more intimate and less hectic. The museum offers a series of exhibitions, which rotate depending on the artist and theme. All you need to do is sit down and observe the drawings and paintings projected onto the walls, ceilings and floors. Frankly, this was the most relaxing thing we experienced in Paris.
What I liked the most:
- How relaxing the experience was.
- The variety of artists and exhibitions.
- The place was not crowded like other museums.
Things to consider:
- The visit won’t take too long. My friend and I stayed for about an hour and we saw all the exhibitions.
Badaboum
If you like techno, this is the place to go. I was given the name of this place by a friend who lived in Paris for a while, so I was excited to see what it looked like. The music was absolutely amazing (only if you like techno, of course) and the atmosphere was fun and laid-back. What surprised me was that people were not wearing anything fancy, which usually happens when you go clubbing in other countries. The dress code was very casual, which is the opposite of Italian clubs.
What I liked the most:
- The music!
- People were really fun, as they were all doing their own thing and not being annoying like in other clubs.
- Since we already had tickets, the waiting time in line was not long.
Things to consider:
- Dress casual, don’t be like my friends and me.
